Canadian producer A-Trak has joined up with Los Angeles producer Cory Enemy to release a remix of Stockholm singer, LÉON’s debut single Tired Of Talking. The original track came off LÉON’s stunning EP Treasure which she released back in December last year. The original track climbed its way to #1 on Hype Machine and received praise from Nylon, Buzzfeed and Noisey. It is sometimes quite hard to deliver a remix that is different enough to be interesting without completely destroying the original track but A-Trak and Cory Enemy have hit the nail on the head with this one, producing something catchy with a gorgeous jazzy spin.
A-Trak and Cory Enemy have taken the smooth and soulful indie number to a bright, summer anthem. The talented producers have completely changed the entire feel of the song by speeding up the vocals, with her vocals going from emotive and crooning to bubbly and upbeat. A-Trak and Cory Enemy have also added jazzy saxophone lines and created a sunny soundscapes with bright keys. It is clear that LÉON absolutely approves of the song, sharing she “Always listened a lot to soul and jazz growing up, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, all the classics. And I really wanted to share a remix of ‘Tired of Talking’ where there’s a blend of pop with something old school. This remix is a really cool combination of that.”
A-Trak and Cory Enemy have completely refreshed LÉON’s Tired Of Talking by taking the soulful indie tune and spinning it on its head to create a stunning, melodic-jazz number.
