Alex Lahey is a name that has been hot on the mind of indie-rock lovers since early 2016. Her debut EP, ‘B-Grade University’, was an honest and light hearted insight to the then relatively unknown artist’s everyday issues and victories. Gaining the attention of a strong audience both nation-wide and internationally Lahey has made appearances at a number of festivals in the last year as well as doing solo shows here and there.
Now a year older and wiser, Lahey has announced the news we’ve been waiting for, a debut album. ‘I Love You Like a Brother’, is due for release October 6th through Nicky Boy Records. It’s expected that the album will again relay these small problems that only really the millennial generation can describe. The latest single ‘Every Day’s the Weekend’, only confirms all our hopes and dreams.
In celebration of her debut album, Alex will be hitting the road for a whirlwind tour of Australia throughout October. This will be the second such tour for the young artist who in May wowed crowds with her odes to teenage emotion in sell out shows.
