The X Factor UK winner is back with a brand new single titled “Alive”. A gift to his fans who have kept him strong throughout his musical career; “Alive” acts as his third single overall following on from his debut number one “Something I Need” and his collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, “Second Hand Heart”.
His third single is one of those songs that manage to make an impact as an emotional pop-rock song. Vocals on point throughout, he proves why he won The X Factor back in 2014. Written by Ben Haenow and his brother Alex Haenow; the song really cuts deep into his feelings, yet the chorus is upbeat and exciting. This independent release is one song that will inspire many.
Of the song, Ben Haenow said: “My inspiration for ‘Alive’ was and is the fans. I had the idea for the song towards the end of the first tour which was after the drop from Syco. I had doubts about carrying on, and it was really the support of the fans that kept me going and kept my dream alive.”
He went on to say: “I owe it all to them and wanted to write almost a thank you song. Going out on stage night after night on that tour and having people singing along and going crazy at the shows is an incredible feeling. It gave me my confidence back after parting ways with a major label. #PeoplePower”
Ben Haenow won the eleventh series of the UK TV show The X Factor, beating Fleur East. His winner’s single was a cover version of OneRepublic’s “Something I Need”, which hit number one in the UK, Scotland, and Europe. This single marks his first release since he left Syco. It was released on 7 July 2017 independently.
