Grammy’s Highlight: Kesha Performs Powerful Rendition Of “Praying”

Kesha has returned to the music scene with a bang with her latest album RAINBOW hitting no. 1 after it’s August release and selling out a North American headlining tour. Yet, she has managed to outdo even herself with her powerful performance of her track ‘Praying’ at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

The awards ceremony took place on January 28 at Madison Square Garden, New York City, where Kesha was joined on stage by Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Bebe Rexha and Andra Day. The performance was especially heart wrenching and relevant as in support of the #METOO and #TIMESUP movements, many guests wore or carried white roses to the event. Her performance wasn’t the only highlight of Kesha’s night as RAINBOW, an album based around inner strength, earned Kesha her first-ever GRAMMY nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance (“Praying”) and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Kesha will be bringing her critically acclaimed ‘Rainbow Tour’ to Australia and New Zealand in early 2018. The tour will begin in Brisbane on March 25th before performing Perth, Byron Bay’s Bluesfest, Sydney, Auckland and Adelaide, before ending on April 5th in Melbourne.

“Once Kesha takes the stage, it’s almost like she’s the preacher ready to deliver one hell of an inspirational sermon — in the happiest, sparkliest church you’ll ever witness.” — Billboard
