It’s A New Era For The 1975

The 1975 debut their new track “Love Me” this morning during Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1. AND IT’S AMAZING!

You might remember earlier in the year when the band pulled a disappearing act which led fans to believe that the band disbanded. It was more of a rebranding, they went for their signature black and white aesthetic to more something a bit(a lot) pink.

If you think “Love Me” sent fans in a frenzy, well Matty also revealed that their follow up LP “I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It” will be out in February and it will include 17 tracks!

The band also shared a later via Twitter in the earlier hours of their single release. Starts off “all i know is the only worth any investment is art that makes you feel personally addressed

In an interview during the premiere, singer Matthew Healy discussed how the single “Love Me” is about narcissism and their rise to fame. He also went on to talk about the band’s new sound, it’s definitely pop in comparison to their debut LP.

“There’s a lot lacking in pop music these day. There’s not enough good pop bands now and I’m sick of it”

and now the countdown to the 2nd album begins… till then I’ll be having “Love Me” on replay!
