Hawthorn welcomes a new night to it’s lively suburb

Surrounding itself with long-familiar bars and nightclubs a new live music venue opens it’s doors to the rock community. Formally known as Room 680, ‘the heart of dance’ – is now establishing a firmer ground with Melbourne’s music scene.

Situated in the heart of Hawthorn and only a minutes walk from Glenferrie station, in close proximity to the city and surrounding suburbs.

The Bandroom will be launching in the next couple of months, with a collective of prolific local artists set to play – kicking off the night and launching a pedestal for future acts. The music scene is a huge commodity to Melbourne and The Bandroom enforces to support it as much as possible.

It’s been five years since Room has re-introduced its popular night of live music back into the venue, with bigger and brighter ideas. Undergoing many changes in the past they’ve come up with transformative concepts to revive what enabled patrons to return to this established venue.

Welcoming all genres is the rock/alternative family, they are also reaching out to the uni scene – tapping into the progression of a potential ‘Battle of the Bands.’ From solo artists to 4-piece bands, all are invited to come play.

With more surprises in store, stay tuned and watch out for updates on their Instagram and Facebook for more big reveals in the near future.

For those who are reading this that are in bands – don’t hesitate to contact us through our Facebook or email – we’d love to give you the opportunity to play.
