Have you been waiting for a mysterious artist who lets the music speak for itself? Well, look no further than Dead Lavender, who have chosen to remain anonymous, deciding to allow themselves and their audience to focus solely on the music. They bring their debut single “Seasons Change” to the forefront; this is a song we’ve fallen for, and we reckon you will too.
With elements of dance, house, and trap, this electronic and synth-filled song will have you wanting to hear more. Unfortunately, this is their only release to date but that’s fine with us as we have got it on repeat.
The duo have confirmed that a second single is already in the final stages and “Seasons Change” was the foundation to their sound. It’s got some heart-felt crisp vocals that sing along to some honest and real lyrics. It’s the perfect track for us right now as we transition through the seasons.
An accompanying music video was released with the song. It was shot in Los Angeles back in December; produced by the duo using VCR filters and 90’s colour grading, we watch a male vocalist with his cap tilted down, obscuring his face; giving a passionate and intense performance. Interspersed between are videos of a girl walking through pillars, hiding from the camera. Are these two main characters in the video actually Dead Lavender? Keeping anonymous whilst also being prominent in their visuals will definitely give this duo quite the edge.
The song was released on 24 March 2017. Download or stream “Seasons Change” now.
Dead Lavender consists of V & Oliver, who have been working hard on their sound. Both are vocalists and producers, who wrote this track together. They have announced that another single is on its way along with a music video, so we suggest you stay tuned.
